As a result of the joint efforts of our President and our Secretary, John Embleton and John Tilsiter, the club has received grants from Sport England and Hertsmere Borough Council. These grants, along with some of our own funds have enabled us to have some urgent maintenance work completed on the roof of the club’s 84 year old pavilion.

We are most appreciative of the support that we have received from:

  1. Sport England for the roof repairs .
  2. Hertsmere Borough Council Wellbeing Fund for a grant towards small bowls, the ramp and handrails to make improved ease of access on to our green and also for our new ‘pushers’. All of these improvements will assist those members who are less agile.
  3. Hertsmere Borough Council Community Fund for a grant for our new ditch mats.
Due to the generosity of many of our members, enough donations were made to the club to pay for a new UPVC double glazed pavilion door and new windows and frames. Also, new roller blinds have been fitted inside the pavilion.
Much work has been carried out on our green and it is looking much better than last season.
